Goals:
- Increase strength and endurance through regular workouts.

- Set and achieve performance goals. Utilize technology to analyze and improve technique and performance.
- Participate in local, regional, and national races.

Criteria:
- Be able to demonstrate a strong work ethic and commitment to the program.
- Be physically able to participate in the program’s activities.
- Have the necessary equipment to participate in the program’s activities.
- Have the necessary experience or knowledge of the stroke.
- Be able to follow instructions and take direction from the coach.
- Be able to work as part of a team.
- Be able to work cooperatively with teammates and coaches.
- Be willing to adhere to the program’s expectations.
- Be able to regularly attend all scheduled practices and events.
- Be respectful of others.
Expectations:
- Complete the High Performance Questionnaire.
- Track km/time paddled outside of regular practice times (Google Sheet)
- Paddle 3 – 4 times per week. Including a distance paddle of 9 km+ (OC1/ V1/ Surfski/ SUP)
- Attend at least 1 Interval session:
- Performance Small Boat Practice (Mondays at 6:30 am) OR Beat Down (Wednesdays 7:00 am) OR
- Time Trial (Thursday evening) OR self Time Trial using GPS
- Work on technical analysis of your own stroke to understand your deficiencies.
- Be prepared to sit in any seat, be adaptable.
- Ready to take feedback from the coach, and have polite conversation to resolve conflicts.
