The Lotus Iron VOS Small Boat Race passed the past weekend and some of our KPC members went out and raced! Many came back with great results and hope you enjoyed watching the races as much as our members who went out!
For Lotus Iron, Ogopogo Wave Riders came 1st in the Mixed Novice UL category in the OC6 short course and so did Junior Pioneers in the Junior Men UL category. KPC Women’s 50 Crew and KPC Perfect Storm came 1st and 2nd in the OC6 Women’s and Mixed Masters Long Course. Dark and Stormy came in 2nd in the Women Open UL category as well. And finally Prune Pickers come in 1st in the OC6 Men’s and Mixed Open Long Course. Not only that, Zane Halperin, Kendra Shaw and Lauren Gray won paddles as entry prizes.

In the VOS Small Boat Championship, Mel Durban came first in the V1 Women race, Masters 60+. In the OC1 Women race, Carmen Prehofer, Sharon Taylor and Shannon Bliss received top 3 respectively in the OC1 Masters 50+ respectively. Dani Sarbit came 1st in the OC1 Masters 40+ category, Kirsten Chuli came 1st in OC1 Novice and Tamlyn Böhm came 2nd in OC1 Open < 40.
